The primary challenge was to ensure that every item was meticulously inserted into the presentation box, securely shrink-wrapped, and enclosed in a transit outer with a specific product barcode. The final step was to palletise and transport these items to a holding facility, all within a tight timeline to meet the product release date.
The collaboration was a resounding success. Send DM’s efficient and error-free execution ensured that the Elvis Presley – Jailhouse Rock – Super Deluxe Editions were scheduled for distribution. The brief from Bentley, the prestige automobile company, was to produce a Direct Mail communication package that would deliver their Used Vehicle warranties to new owners world-wide. And ensure that the whole customer experience had the decidedly premium feel that Bentley owners have come to expect.
We created a bespoke Welcome Pack that not only carried each warranty, but also contained a personalised luxury gift from Bentley. Data was funnelled into a bespoke platform created specifically for managing the process. Fulfilment required specialist hand-finishing (white glove service) and the pieces, which were mailed all over the world, were delivered in multiple languages.
The fact that our Direct Mail campaign was hugely successful is thanks to the focus and dedication of the team working in partnership and the high level of collaboration with multiple agencies and client stakeholders. This particular campaign involved the delivery of bespoke 3D viewfinders (the sort of thing you might remember from your childhood). Each viewfinder contained key images and messages designed to deliver on the campaign objectives to an audience of UK Marketing Directors and CMOs. Working to a very tight deadline, Send DM sourced high-quality bespoke boxes and impact protection packaging materials, hand-packed every item and despatched via a 24-hour parcel delivery service.
The bespoke web portal we created allows each of the 100+ branches to replenish their onsite stocks by simply calling-off items from a pre-specified list. The portal also ensures that stock lines and levels are visible to users at all times. And when items reach their reorder level, the system automatically generates email notifications.
Our new, more efficient fulfilment service now manages more than 700 stock lines. This involves making up kits, dispatching individual items and managing ‘dated’ stock items when they expire, allowing our client to focus on what they do best – keeping their 300,000 members happy.
Although the Blanco Group, one of the world’s-leading manufacturers of high-end kitchen supplies, operate their own extensive storage facilities, they were finding their services were being stretched to capacity. They approached us to discuss how we might ease the pressure by helping them deliver fulfilment services to their client base.
It was a project that called for complex stock management arrangements. First we took control of all their stock, fully acquainted our team with the details of their ‘pick & pack’ requirements and then devised a new system for managing their national orders, while maintaining their 48 hour Service Level Agreement.
